Double Entry Journal #1

Electronics In Classrooms

Quote:

"Pundits may be asking if the Internet is bad for our children’s mental development, but the better question is whether the form of learning and knowledge-making we are instilling in our children is useful to their future."

Reaction:
After taking this course and reading this article, I found that nowadays the way most teachers teach is out of the speeded-up mind of thinking of the learners. For example, we sometimes still ask our students to use hand-set and heavy dictionaries to search new words, however that is not what they like anymore, they have great Apple apps to solve different kinds of problems and do many things in a quicker way, then why they will do so?

In conclusion, to reach the goal of being a good educator and making students interested in our course and our way of teaching is to willingly accept their changes and keep the pace of the digital classroom teaching in the 21th century , for this kind of teaching method is more up-to-date in their point of view which means it will be more efficient than the out-off-date style in the classroom. Only in this way could we teach the lessons in the way students and their future want.

  1. Anniwaer,
I appreciate the effort that you have put into your blog! You need to make a correction to the required article reading/double entry journal assignment. Go to the syllabus, week one, read the article, "Education Needs a Digital Upgrade", then copy a quote from that article, respond, and cite the source using bibme or son of citation, then find a related resource to that article, such as a video, website, etc... I will give you time on Tuesday to make corrections and provide assistance if needed.
